One thing we try to do when we create caricatures is not to make it boring.

The elements we added in this artwork that is not originally in the image is the teeth and the hand posture.

One thing we want to be sure of when delivering our live or spot on caricature is happiness both from the viewers and from the subject, we like to keep the atmosphere happy.

Caricature we created today 14 of July

Yes! owolabi woke up today feeling energized although he took a break off yesterday without creating artwork, today he created an image of several beautiful ladies, but for now, we want to add this one here for you to view, also you can check out our process on our YouTube channel here.

When owolabi was asked about how he exxeggerated the subject, his response was that he created her how he was feeling, which means it has to do with the temperament he was feeling right then.

Caricature Resolution 2021

Caricature resolution is drawing of subjects that get put out by (ISCA) international society of caricature artists, this year has not been different.

The ISCA on their Instagram social handle put out names of celebrities that should be drawn by caricature artists around the world and of course, I do art studios, our studio participated and it was fun.

We got to draw the names listed of the celebrities as it follows,  day in day out.

It was a real discipline exercise for Owolabi, our star boy! Yes, being a member of ISCA he’s ought to participate and of course, he participated.

The name of the celebrities follows on the roster as their birthday days are, a real good thing you will say!

And of course, it was fun. Here is our pic layout of the whole 31 caricatures created day in day out through this 2021 January.

Back in time In Nigeria, Yoruba People

We tried to look back in time,  we tried to live in time of our grand parents and parents,  then,  there were some entertainments too and some kind of way they relax after making that cocoa sale, of harvesting their plantation, we tried to go 30-40 years ago and see if we can get some entertainers of those days,  caricature them to bring awareness to our this days entertainers,  that there had been people making wave back in time.

Today,  we will like to share you men and women whom were entertainers back in the days first here is a caricature of Hakuna Ishola.

Haruna Ishola’s Caricature

Haruna Ishola BelloM.O.N. honorary title,Member of the Order of the Niger (1919-1983) is a Nigerian musician, and one of the most popular artists in the apala genre.

Salawa Abeni’s Caricature

Salawa Abeni Alidu (born 5 May 1961) is a Nigerian singer.[1] An Ijebu Yoruba from [Ijebu Waterside, in Ogun State, she began her professional career in waka music when she released her debut album titled, Late General Murtala Ramat Mohammed, in 1976, on Leader Records. It became the first recording by a female artist in Yoruba Songs to sell over a million copies in Nigeria.

Yusuf Olatunji’s Caricature

Yusuf Olatunji, also known as Baba Legba or Baba L’Egbaa (1905 -1978),[1] was a NigerianSakara drum player, who popularized the sakara music style.[2] He was purportedly born in 1905 or 1906 in a village called Gbegbinlawo in Ogun State in south-western Nigeria, although there are still doubts about the location of his birth.

There is nothing but victory to be looked at for Mike Tyson in the upcoming fight.

After 15 years, Mike Tyson is making his return to the boxing ring. Tyson, the former undisputed heavyweight boxing champion, will fight Roy Jones Jr. in an eight-round exhibition match on September.12, entitled the “Frontline Battle.” The match will be a pay-per-view event hosted by social media platform Triller, the company announced. According to a person familiar with the terms, Triller paid worth of $50 million for exclusive streaming rights for the exhibition. The person spoke to CNBC on condition of remaining anonymous as financial details of the fight were not public.

So we decided to create a caricature for the champion, wish Mike luck.

it was an awesome zoom event

Yes,  we got this invite by a caricaturist on instagram with the handle @bigalart to join a caricature barbeque party,  where we will get to draw other spot-on caricaturist in diaspora via the zoom application.

So it was 10pm PST which we believe we won’t be able to make due to the time zone in Nigeria but surprisingly we were still able to make it to the event in the morning 6am lagos, nigerian time.
